We realise that the NHS waiting list is long and that you are concerned about your child’s communication. We aim to help for as little or as much time as is necessary. There are many reasons why a child does not develop speech and language and communication. The chances are, if you found us, you are concerned about your child.

First things first
In order to help your child we first need to gather some information and carry out an assessment.
We will ask you for your email address, mobile number and the name of your child so that we can send you our pre-appointment questionnaire. Once you’ve completed and returned this, we will offer you an appointment. This appointment will be face to face in our clinic in King’s Heath with one of our lovely therapists.
When you come into clinic you will be shown into the waiting area before coming into the clinic room.
The room will be set up with some toys to encourage your child to engage and interact. Often, for younger children, the assessment will look like a fun play activity. After your child’s assessment, your therapist will produce a report which will include recommendations. This may include:
- Advice and discharge.
- A package of therapy.
- A review appointment in a few months.
